Karmas
This painting denotes the transmigration of genes through the concept of karmas, which continue to remain attached with the souls throughout the life as well as in migration of soul from one body to another.
The three brilliant diamonds in the painting represent that through the combination of the three jewels, Right Faith (Samyak Darshan), Right Knowledge (Samyak Gyan) and Right Conduct (Samyak Charitra), humans can eradicate all karmas which cause sufferings and attain “Moksha”. Moksha is the purest state of a soul without delusion and devoid of karmic particles.
Six Leshyas
In this painting the soul is immersed in a valley of six colored mountains symbolizing the six Leshyas. The mountains are formed by the activities of the chakras (centers of energy) in the human body. The three lower chakras are responsible for lower emotions thus generating the three inauspicious leshyas: Krishna (Black) Leshya, Neel (Blue) Leshya and Kapot (Brown) Leshya. When we dwell in auspicious activities or thoughts, our higher chakras get activated, thus generating the remaining three auspicious Leshyas: Peet (Yellow) Leshya, Padma (Pinkish) Leshya, Shukla (White) Leshya.
Mandir
Through centuries, the Shikhar (Dome) of Jain Temples, have unique architectural style similar to a pyramid. This structural style allows for the accumulation of electromagnetic rays present in the cosmos.
In the temple, idols are often positioned in such a way that they fall perfectly under the Center of the inside of the temple’s dome. Such positioning allows the idol to absorb cosmic energy and emanate it throughout the temple.
Anekaant-vaad
Anekanta is the appreciation of the manifold attributes of a substance. Recognizing the incredibly rich and complex nature of reality, Jainism recognized the concept of “Many sidedness”. The Diamond with multiple facets denotes Anekanta. Truth is relative to the perspective from which it is known. Thus the concept of Absolute truth (the nature of substance that comprises of different but opposite attributes) and Relative truth (description of the substance from a particular viewpoint) were formed. In the painting, brilliancy of the Diamond represents Absolute truth. Reflection of light through a particular facet signifies Relative truth.
Dwelling of Divinity
Our behavior comprises of actions through mind, speech and body. Depending on the actions, we attract positive and negative radiations (karmic particles). The combination of good karmas (represented by Diamond) and bad karmas (represented by fire) cause us to fall in the vicious cycles of birth and rebirth, which are the cause of suffering. However, deeds with spiritual (Samyak) inclination makes us rise vertically, bringing us closer to divinity. The potential needed to reach higher vertical levels lies at our Center – The Soul.
The Mystery Asana
Painting highlights meditative posture , a combination of mudra and asana and the energy phenomenon taking place within it. As seen commonly in a Jain temple, the sitting posture of God Arihant has a typical hand mudra and a complete lotus sitting pose. This combination is known as Siddha asana.
Siddha asana seems to act like a virtual pyramid which generates a field of energy in a closed loop formed from within the mudra of Arihant. This current loop causes friction in the body of meditator sitting in siddha asana pose which burns up his toxins and emit rays that create an electromagnetic field affecting abhamandal (a halo around the body). This is effectively the electric dynamo effect that creates a positive magnetic field.
Ashta Dravya
Devotional singing induces in us a desire for experiencing the truth, to glimpse the beauty that is God, to taste the bliss that is the Self. It encourages man to dive into himself and be genuinely his real Self
The seven fundamentals - Tattva
Jain metaphysics elucidate on the seven fundamentals (tattvas) which lays down the path of liberation for the soul from sufferings. This leads to realization of the full potential of the soul. The painting uses a simple analogy of a drowning boatman to illustrate the seven tattvas.
1) Jiva : the living being; is the boatman. 2) Ajiva : the non-living; is represented by the the lake water. 3) Asrava : the influx of karman particles to the soul shown as entering water through a hole in the boat, which may drown it. 4) Bandh : the bondage of karman particles to the soul as constant accumulation of water in the boat. 5) Samvar : the stoppage of influx of karman particles to the soul as closing the hole with a knob to stop incoming water 6) Nirjara : the shedding off accumulated karmic particles from the soul; is represented by emptying the boat of existing water. 7)Moksha : the shedding of all karmic particles from the soul; is represented by the attained state of happiness by the boatman.
Anupreksha
The twelve bhawanas (contemplations) offer pathways that open windows to see and feel the freshness of life. Meditating on each of the twelve bhawanas provide wings for the soul to fly beyond its miseries. It imparts clarity of vision to the meditator. True vision results in equanimity of the mind and detachment from the world. It frees the soul from infatuation (raga) and aversion (dhvesh) which bind the soul with karma.
Twelve butterflies are the twelve bhawanas namely Anitya, Asharan, Sansaar, Ekatva, Anyatva, Ashuchi, Asrav, Samvar, Nirjara, Loka, Bodhidurlabh and Dharma bhawana, which lead the soul meditating on them towards the righteous vision.

Akrutrim Chaityaalay in Sun
Sun Salutation is widely performed today. In some religions Sun is worshipped as a God. However Jain cosmology doesn’t consider Sun as supernatural being but regards it as an independent matter body consisting of Akrutrim (self existing) Jinaalaye. Bharat Chakravarti with his exceptional eyesight was able to see these Jinaalaye and saluted the Sun . Science believes that Sunbathing heals skin cancer, strengthens muscles and alleviate depression.
The Human potential
A man amidst the elements of nature – air, water, fire, earth and plants is the only living being that has the daringness to follow the soul’s true path to Moksha. Other forms of life are ignorant about it.
AUM
"AUM" one letter, is made from the initials of the five parameshthis.
"Arihanta, Ashiri (i.e. siddha), Acharya, Upadhyaya, Munis(sadhus)"
a+a+a+u+m = AUM
Painting is significant of the effects of chanting AUM. Its frequency create vibrations in the nature, causing miracles like curing sickness and thwarting dangers, apart from attracting peace, prosperity and happiness. This beeja mantra contains the gist of all Jain scriptures and is frequently used for meditation.
Nitya
The world around us is ever changing. There is only one thing that is permanent that remains with us forever – our soul. It is this realization that one has to come to find the everlasting happiness. Happiness lies within us, in our soul and we do not need to go around looking for it in the impermanence of the world things.
Sukh
Flowers have many attractive qualities. Vivid colors, soothing aromas, pretty formations to name a few. Like flower, our soul has many qualities to be realized only through self-exploration. All attractive things are desired by us humans and we work hard to possess them. But soul, the most beautiful thing in this world, needs no possession. It blossoms within us.
Enlightenment
Samyak-shraddha
Faith lights up the darkness and emptiness of this world and guides us through it.
Jina-Darshan
We visit a temple in search of peace, but inevitably bring our worldly problems with us to the temple. Our heart is filled with feelings of insecurity, future uncertainty and other worldly troubles. But as we enter the temple, the presence of the divine energy (jina-darshan) dissolves these worldly troubles and liberates us from our fears. We begin to realize our innate potential.
Wisdom
Life goes on. The disease of the mind is more dangerous than the disease of the body. The body will die one day but the ignorance stays with the soul. We need to make proper use of our thinking faculty and learn to surrender our ego. Choose wisdom.
Wonder
If we could see the miracle of a single flower clearly our whole life would change. It's blossoming stirs enduring affirmations and discoveries, and can surely help the spectator in his search for identification with the vast world of natural beauty and the wonder surrounding him.
The Essence
A living being may it be a human, an animal, a heavenly god or a hellish being, wanders in the world going through its sufferings and rewards. It spends its lifetime searching for the essence of its existence but hardly ever gets to its depths. At the cruxes of this existence lies the state of Moksh, which never changes no matter who the living being is.
Diamond
Soul in its purest form is like a brilliant diamond. Not only does it light itself, but also illuminates everything that comes near it. Every being has this quality. Through self-realization this blissful state is achieved.
Atma Vaibhav
We are infinitely more than we think. A saadhu whose soul has been purified by intense meditation (tapa) reveals a glowing aura that illuminates the surrounding wilderness.
Four Kashaaye
"Follow your bliss and the universe will open doors for you where there were only walls"
The four Kashayes ( Anger, Pride, Deceit, Greed) are the types of passion that inhibit the true expression of one’s soul. However as we attain True Perception, these walls that symbolize passion melt down and open doors to Spiritual bliss.
The breeze at dawn has secrets to tell you; Don't go back to sleep
Like a prism we disperse the sun’s light into seven colors. But the brilliance of Sun reminds us that the source is always the white light. Although we are busy creating the world around us, our soul needs to get in touch with its source and attain Nirvana.
Any revolution has to start with the transformation Paryaay ParivartanWhen we quit thinking primarily about ourselves and our own self-preservation, we undergo a truly heroic transformation of consciousness. “ The mark of your Ignorance is the depth of your belief in Injustice and Tragedy. What the caterpillar calls the end of the world; The master calls a butterfly.” - ILUSIONS "The call of death is a call of love. Death can be sweet if we answer it in the affirmative, if we accept it as one of the great eternal forms of life and transformation.” Swastik in the painting denotes the four realms of existence namely heaven, human kind, animal world and hell, in which the soul wanders on account of Ignorance.
